The Community Advisory Boards of Thirteen/WNET New York and WLIW21 inducted 11 community organizations into its COMMUNITY HALL OF FAME in a July 9, 2008 ceremony at the Thirteen/WNET studio in Manhattan. The stations’ Community Advisory Boards have instituted the honor to recognize exemplary efforts in the fields of the arts, culture, education, and social concerns that are related to the stations’ programming and/or to the stations’ mission to educate, enlighten and inform.

The Community Advisory Boards of Thirteen/WNET New York and WLIW21, comprised of members reflective of the diverse interests and needs of the tri-state region, collaborate with the stations to expand the reach of their programming, educational activities, and outreach initiatives.
